Regardless of the location of a site or the nature of the development being undertaken, it is highly likely that a degree of geotechnical design and engineering judgement will be required to arrive at an end product which is both technically safe and economically delivered. Much good work can be lost for want of a little more and we have seen many instances over the years where ground related issues have either not been identified or not properly understood.

It is often the case that early indicators of potential ground related problems are present and highlighted within the data obtained within Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Ground investigations. Unfortunately, unless those issues are clearly defined and communicated, there is a risk that they are miss-understood or overlooked and their effects not appropriately managed within the subsequent design process, this is where our consultants can bring the value.
