ECG have recently been out tracing underground utilities on a long-established train manufacturing facility. We certainly raised a few eyebrows walking up and down in lines, pushing what appeared to many from a distance to be an empty sack barrow!

Due to an increasing number of projects requiring Plate Bearing Tests for the detailed design of floor slabs, crane bases and dynamically loaded foundations, ECG have recently designed and developed their own bespoke Plate Bearing Test apparatus.

ECG were commissioned to back-analyse the sudden and unexpected failure of a section of former railway cutting in North Yorkshire in order to determine how and why it happened and to use this understanding as a predictive risk assessment tool along the remaining section of cutting to identify potential areas of future instability.
